No pretendo hacer un ensayo sobre el fenómeno Wikileaks, sólo me interesa rescatar lo que atañe a mi investigación, por lo que a continuación copiaré la información que salió este lunes en los medios en función de la politica expansionista estadounidense ejercida desde el siglo XIX, por si algunos todavía lo cuestionan:

De acuerdo con un despacho del Departamento de Estado filtrado por WikiLeaks, entre los lugares mencionados están el cable norteasiático submarino ubicado en Tijuana, el cable panamericano submarino ubicado en Mazatlán y la presa de la Amistad Internacional, localizada en el Río Bravo.
Un cable diplomático secreto, el 192686, filtrado por WikiLeaks, revela que para proteger sus intereses y garantizar su seguridad, estabilidad y desarrollo, el Departamento de Estado estadounidense hizo una lista de sitios estratégicos en el mundo, principalmente infraestructura.
Entre los sitios mexicanos (19 en total) que Washington considera como estratégicos, están el cable norteasiático submarino ubicado en Tijuana, el cable panamericano submarino ubicado en Mazatlán, la presa de la Amistad Internacional, localizada en el río Bravo, cerca de Ciudad Acuña; la presa Anzalduas, al sur de Texas y operada conjuntamente por Estados Unidos y México para controlar inundaciones, y la presa Falcón, en Miguel Alemán, Tamaulipas.
Se consideran también instalaciones hidroeléctricas, puentes internacionales y vías férreas como las de Kansas City Southern.
“México, el peligro”
El asesor en Relaciones Exteriores del presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Marco Aurelio García, dijo al embajador James Jones, secretario de Seguridad Nacional de Estados Unidos, que México es la única amenaza proveniente de América Latina para la seguridad estadounidense, según uno de los filtrados por WikiLeaks.
El documento, fechado en septiembre de 2009 y difundido ayer por el diario español El País, da cuenta de reuniones de funcionarios brasileños con Jones durante una visita del embajador a Brasil, a quien expresaron la preocupación de su país por las implicaciones regionales del acceso de Estados Unidos a bases militares colombianas.
En su encuentro con Jones, García consideró sobre la situación en América Latina que la guerrilla de las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) “nunca había estado tan débil y la única amenaza a la seguridad de Estados Unidos en Latinoamérica proviene de México”.
WikiLeaks filtró desde el domingo pasado 250 mil cables diplomáticos de Estados Unidos secretos, que entregó para su difusión a los diarios El País, The Guardian, Le Monde y The New York Times, y a la revista alemana Der Spiegel.
Los cables difundidos sobre México hasta ahora se han centrado en cuestiones de seguridad y narcotráfico; la supuesta ineficacia del gobierno mexicano para derrotar al crimen organizado; el papel que ha desempeñado el secretario de Seguridad Pública, Genaro García Luna, y la división en el seno del Ejército, entre otros temas.
También se dio cuenta de la solicitud de datos sobre el presidente Felipe Calderón o de la supuesta pérdida de control de varias zonas del país. (Agencias)
